People of the same animal meet the same year very differently depending on their birth month, day and hour, and a reading actually starts from the top character of your birth day. Take the animal's year as the general mood; for your own year, get a reading from your birth date and time.
The zodiac year turns at Ipchun (about 4 February), not on 1 January or the Lunar New Year: if you were born in January or early February, you may belong to the previous animal.
